Mission

Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern Pennsylvania has been matching at-risk youth with Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Philadelphia, Chester, and Delaware Counties for 90 years. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and strengthen communities through professionally-supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships. We are the largest and most-experienced one-to-one youth-mentoring organization in Pennsylvania. We play a significant role in leveraging community engagement and managing volunteers. In 2008, we made, supported, and guided 4,300 matches between children and volunteer mentors. Our short term goal is to serve 7,500 children annually.
