Mission

United Community Ministries (UCM), founded in 1969, is a community-based social service agency. Our mission is to assist families and individuals to improve the quality of their lives in a manner that builds their self-esteem and fosters their ability to function at the greatest level of their capacity - socially, economically and emotionally. UCM provides services including emergency assistance, employment placement and training; developmental childcare, youth services, supportive housing services, homelessness prevention and child abuse and neglect prevention. In Fiscal Year 2008 the organization served over 10,000 program participants from over 4,000 households in twelve UCM programs.
