Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) USA, established in 1981, raises funds for Aga Khan Development Network social development programs. AKF focuses on a small number of specific development problems by forming intellectual and financial partnerships with organizations sharing its objectives. Most Foundation grants are made to grassroots organizations testing innovative approaches in the field.
