Mission

Founded in 1981, Carolina Raptor Center is dedicated to environmental education and the conservation of birds of prey through public education, the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned raptors, and research. Our environmental education programs reach approximately 40,000 students each year. Educators feel a responsibility to share their knowledge with our community in hopes that our enthusiasm will then be reflected in the faces in front of us. Carolina Raptor Center supports environmental conservation and safeguards community health by treating injured and orphaned raptors. At the head of the food web, raptors are leading scientific indicators of a healthy environment.
