Mission

Police Activities League (PAL) of Texas was formed in October 1990 with a focus on juvenile crime prevention. Our primary mission is to help deter juvenile crime by fostering personal interaction between law enforcement officers and youth through education, recreation, and mentoring activities. Local PAL programs afford youth the opportunity to gain self-esteem and a positive attitude toward police officers, our laws and society. PAL is a national organization that originated in England and migrated in 1914 to the city of New York. Over the years it has grown to over 365 chapters nationwide, and PAL of Texas is one of only seven states having a statewide PAL.
