Mission

Founded in 1990, the Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation (CAHF) works to alleviate hunger in metropolitan Chicago through the distribution of high-quality food; educaiton; advocacy; culinary arts and other employment training. The Federation provides resources for economically disadvantaged Chicagoans. Healthy food distribution is a main source of fresh produce and protein-rich meats for food pantries, emergency shelters and soup kitchens. Oliver's Kitchen trains people in culinary arts and prepares graduates for a career in the food industry. Project Newtrition educates the food pantry user to provide proper nutrition for their families while overcoming the challenges of limited resources. Westside Providers Network brings together basic human needs providers with the common goal of sharing resources and developing up-to-date referrals for those in need.
