Mission

Dance/USA advances the art form of dance by addressing the needs, concerns and interests of the professional dance community. By providing services and national leadership, Dance/USA enhances the infrastructure for dance creation, education and dissemination. Dance/USA emphasizes the interconnectedness of dance organizations, artists, and administrators in dance creation, education, and dissemination, and is committed to exercising leadership to and for the dance field. Composed of over 400 organizations and individuals involved as practitioners or supporters of dance as an art form, Dance/USA offers four major program areas in service to the field: public communications, information services, professional development and special projects.
