Mission

The Fort Ticonderoga Association engages, educates, and entertains visitors by sharing the authentic stories of diverse cultures that met at the Ticonderoga peninsula in war and in peace. Each year over 90,000 people from throughout the world are welcomed to Fort Ticonderoga. Visitors come away with a deeper understanding of American history from the French and Indian War and Revolutionary War periods of the 18th century. In addition, visitors experience the meanings of freedom, personal sacrifice, and public responsibility as the stories of the men, women, and children whose lives became entwined in the colonial wars unfold through the Fort's collections, educational programs, and reenactments.
