New England Electric Railway Historical Society shares powerful connections between the past and present. We preserve knowledge, context, and resources for future generations by collecting, restoring, operating, and exhibiting significant public transit vehicles and artifacts.

We continue the legacy of our founders by maintaining and sharing our world-class transit collection

Goals

1.To continue to diversify our revenue over the next 5 years, allowing us to invest more in our transit collection.
2.Continue to build our community and corporate partnerships through mutually beneficial youth and adult programming and fundraising events.
3.Continue to leverage the talents our volunteers bring to all areas of the orientation by incorporating mentor relationships, more advanced and ongoing training, and skills-sharing opportunities.
