New Hampshire SPCA

Mission

The New Hampshire SPCA (NHSPCA) seeks to save the lives of companion animals through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption; to promote learning, eliminate animal cruelty and be a leader in advancing the highest standards of animal welfare. The NHSPCA serves over 121 communities in the seacoast of New Hampshire, southern Maine and northern Massachusetts. Our Adoption Center receives unwanted, neglected or abused animals every day. We provide each one with a warm bed, loving care and take every step needed to place them in the best possible new home. We also provide behavior training for pets, humane education for children, community programs for all ages, low cost veterinary care for financially constricted pet owners, and cruelty investigations and advocacy. We celebrated our 150th year in 2022 reminding us that the NHSPCA is the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in NH. We strive to maintain the very best possible care for the animals and people that need us.
