Vision

The teenage and young adult years are critical for social and emotional development. The support young people receive (or don’t) during this time will shape who they become and who our society becomes. That’s why it’s critical for youth to get help from someone who understands trauma, positive youth development approaches, and brain development science. That’s where we come in. We envision communities that value youth, ensure their well-being, and see them thrive.

Goals

1. 1.Homelessness is a very big problem in the state of Vermont. To address this, we plan to expand our Transitional Living Program. For youth ages 16-24 who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
2. 2.Statewide survey on non-profit salaries indicates that our people are overworked and under-paid. We would love to both increase our capacity by hiring more qualified people AND increase our salaries.
3. 3.We have a confirmed need by employers statewide for skills training, most notably soft-skills training for the youth of Vermont. We would love to implement this training in the very near future.
