The Governor's Institutes of Vermont (GIV) helps create productive, empowered, and engaged young adults by reaching out to diverse learners with high-impact, world-class learning opportunities that stimulate their personal growth and expand their aspirations, perspectives, and career horizons.

Vision

GIV sees a future in which young Vermonters believe that they matter, feel connected to a supportive community, and are motivated and skilled to contribute positively to the world.

Goals

1.Serve more than 700 students annually across all our programs representing communities from across Vermont. Focusing on students from underserved and underrepresented populations (20% BIPOC; 20% from the 5 counties with the highest poverty rates and the most rural). Over 60% will come from moderate or low-income households. GIV will provide ~$1,000,000+ in tuition assistance or free programming.
