Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism

Mission

Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism partners with frontline feminist movements to support women, trans, and non-binary activists striving to create a more just and equitable world. Our holistic, flexible approach enables frontline feminists to respond to real-time threats and opportunities, protect and care for themselves and one another, and sustain and propel solutions to the most critical crises and injustices of our time.

Vision

Feminist activists and movements are holistically and abundantly resourced and transnationally connected so that they can mobilize and meet unexpected opportunities, navigating ever-shifting landscapes with safety, urgency, creativity, and care.

Goals

1.Provide fast, flexible support via rapid response grants to primarily women, trans, and non-binary activists so that they can respond to unexpected risks and opportunities, protect and care for themselves and one another, and nurture feminist movements that are creating a more just and equitable world.
2.Advance philanthropic advocacy and policy change by amplifying the stories and impact of our grantee partners, ensuring feminist movements shape the priorities and practices of funders and policymakers.`
3.Safeguard the organization and sustain our ability to effectively resource feminist movements through making targeted investments in legal, cybersecurity, and data protection infrastructures.
