Goals

1. 1.SUMATE Foundation, from Hogar de Cristo: transforming vulnerable youth's lives through education for over 30 years, re-engaging school dropouts through personalized support to complete their education. By 2026, enrollment increased by 61%+ (double-shift operation), adding 1,142 students across its three schools, with adapted curricula, vocational training, and flexible pedagogical strategies.
2. 2.Our schools are hubs of shared responsibility and collaboration that strengthen connections among schools, their communities (e.g., municipalities and cities), and the labor market. We aim to support youth with 2 or more gap years through a tailored educational/pedagogical program and accompaniment to re-engage, complete their education, and provide access to vocational training opportunities.
3. 3.The schools rely on multidisciplinary teams comprising teachers, special education, psychologists, social workers, & occupational therapists with specialized competencies for working with youth populations facing exclusion & poverty. Also, the team's diversity facilitates the school's integration with various local networks and services (a holistic approach to guide the vulnerable population).
