The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund

Mission

The Ouimet Fund’s purpose is to help deserving young men and women, who have worked at golf courses in Massachusetts, fund their post-secondary education. We provide need-based college and trade school scholarships, which are renewable for four years, with some students receiving as much as $80,000. Since 1949, The Fund has awarded $57 million in need-based scholarships to nearly 7,000 deserving men and women across the state. Ouimet Scholars excel in the classroom, graduating at a 91% rate and achieving a 3.5 collective GPA. The Ouimet Fund is the largest independent scholarship fund in New England, and works to enhance the legacy of Mr. Ouimet by growing the scholarship fund he loved so dearly.

Vision

The Ouimet Fund's vision is for Young Men and Women who work in golf to attend and receive post-secondary education including college and trade schools. Our Ouimet Alumni Community spans across the country, and the reason the Ouimet Fund continues to grow is because of increasing Alumni engagement. With a community of nearly 7,000 strong, it is inspiring to see Alumni continually paying it forward to support the next generation of young men and women. The growing generosity of our Alumni each year is remarkable, and opportunities for career advancement, personal development, and deeper involvement with The Fund continue to expand.
