Mission

Abby Kelley Foster House, Inc. (Abby's House) opened in 1976 as one of the first overnight emergency shelters for women -- with or without children -- in the U.S. Since 1976, Abby Kelley Foster House, Inc. (Abby's House) has provided more than 15,000 homeless women and children with a safe place to stay, regroup, and rebuild. With 79 units, Abby's House is the largest provider of affordable, supportive housing in Worcester designed to meet the needs of women and children. Abby's House is committed to ending homelessness.

Goals

1.Implement integrated model of care through evidence-based clinical procedures, including 1-1 clinical services, psychotherapy groups, and increasing education on homelessness and behavioral health.
2.In order to communicate better and increase operational efficiencies, Abby's House is improving integration of electronic systems and decreasing operational waste and redundancy.
3.Strategic focus of deepening connections with local organizations, local elected officials, etc., to ensure the unique need of homeless women are given voice in the process of policy making statewide.
