Goal One: We aim to expand food production and crop diversity to better serve a growing, diverse recipient base. Strategies include enhancing soil health, growing culturally relevant crops, boosting winter production, improving fruit yields, and piloting farmland expansion with needed staff and equipment.
Goal Two: We aim to enrich volunteer and educational experiences to strengthen community ties. Strategies include developing a “Community Farm Team,” building volunteer community, growing corporate engagement, investing in recipient education, and increasing inclusivity and equitable access.
Goal Three: We aim to strengthen Gaining Ground’s long-term financial health to support our mission. Strategies include exploring an endowment, diversifying donors, evaluating fundraising and grants, aligning spending with values, improving facilities and tech use, reviewing benefits, and growing investments through coordinated planning.
