Mission

THE MISSION OF FRIENDSHIPWORKS, INC. IS TO REDUCE SOCIAL ISOLATION, ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE, AND PRESERVE THE DIGNITY OF OLDER ADULTS IN THE GREATER BOSTON AREA. WE DO THIS THROUGH THE DEDICATED EFFORTS OF A NETWORK OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS OF ALL FAITHS WHO PROVIDE FRIENDSHIP, ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, ASSISTANCE AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT.

Vision

FriendshipWorks' enduring and driving vision is to end elder isolation.

Goals

1.Raise funds and awareness so we are able to carry out our programming to reduce social isolation and improve the quality of life among older adults throughout Greater Boston.
2.Recruit train and develop a cadre of diverse, dedicated and caring staff, Board and volunteers to advance our mission and the quality of our programs that bring joy and friendship to isolated elders.
3.To continue to develop and monitor the metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) of our mission so that we can effectively assess and measure our impact each year in the communities we serve.
