Mission

Founded in 1996, Angel Flight Northeast is celebrating 30 years of helping children and adults reach specialized medical care. Our mission is to increase accessibility, affordability, and equity in healthcare by removing transportation as a barrier. Our dedicated and compassionate team of over 350 volunteer pilots donate their time, aircraft, and fuel to safely carry patients and their companions to essential medical care. Our volunteer "Earth Angel" drivers help provide ground transportation between airports and healthcare facilities. Through our Angels for Armed Forces program, we also assist veterans traveling for medical treatment. Partnering with commercial airlines like JetBlue and Cape Air, we expand our reach, and when volunteer or donated flights aren’t available, we cover commercial tickets, so no patient misses critical treatment. Since our founding, we’ve coordinated over 111,000 flights, covering more than 17 million miles to 750+ medical facilities—bringing hope and healing to patients and their families.
