THE INSTITUTE FACILITATES A COMMUNITY'S ABILITY TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN IMPROVING EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF ITS YOUTH BY INITIATING, COORDINATING, AND FACILITATING WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR EDUCATORS, PARENTS AND FAMILIES, AND OTHER COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONS. IT ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT, INFORMATION, AND ASSISTANCE ON RESEARCH, EFFECTIVE PRACTICE, AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE FIELD.
