ESLC envisions a community where all children read with pride and joy. The mission, “unlocking each child’s potential through the foundation of reading,” empowers children to be successful in school, graduate, and succeed in their future careers

Goals

1. 1.To address the growing literacy gaps in the communities we serve, ESLC must continue to tailor its programs to meet the diverse needs of children and families. Expanding the reach of our programs, improving the effectiveness of our tutoring, and fostering greater participation will be critical in supporting children’s literacy development.
2. 2.As ESLC continues to grow and expand its impact, the organization faces the critical challenge of scaling its internal infrastructure and operational capacity. To support the expansion of programs, increase volunteer engagement, and ensure efficient management of resources, it is essential to strengthen both the staff and volunteer base while improving internal systems and processes.
3. 3.To ensure the long-term financial stability and continued growth of ESLC’s literacy programs, it is essential to diversify funding sources. By building a diverse set of revenue streams, including individual donors, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, government contracts, and planned giving, ESLC can secure the resources necessary to expand its impact while ensuring financial resilience.
