Chatham Conservation Foundation Inc.

Mission

The Chatham Conservation Foundation, Inc. (CCF) is a nonprofit, donor supported, community land trust that preserves open space in perpetuity for the benefit of the people, plants, animals, and ecosystems of Chatham, through acquisition, stewardship, education and advocacy.

Vision

Chatham’s inspiring landscapes will be permanently preserved to sustain generations of residents and visitors. We envision more preserved open space that balances the protection of wildlife and the environment with greater public access. Plants and animals will have the habitat they need to thrive. In order to accomplish all of the above, we envision the Chatham Conservation Foundation as an economically sustainable, financially secure organization with an endowment that enables the organization to respond when land protection opportunities arise.

Goals

1.Maximize habitat protection on CCF properties
2.Preserve more open space through acquisition and conservation restrictions
3.Prepare CCF for the potential effects of climate change
