Liberation Programs Inc.
Mission
Liberation Programs’ mission is to provide prevention, treatment, community outreach, and recovery services to help individuals and their families impacted by substance use and mental health conditions to foster hope and maintain wellness.
Vision
We share a vision of community that: • Believes recovery from substance use disorder and mental illness is not only possible but the expectation for all. • Treats individuals and families with dignity and respect and values all seeking a peaceful and meaningful life. • Adopts evidence-based and innovative best practices into our community-based setting. • Readily provides access to care for all, regardless of their ability to pay. • Integrates prevention, treatment, and recovery into the healthcare system and builds the necessary capital to sustain resilient families and strong communities.
Goals
- 1.Liberation employs Recovery Navigators who help clients apply for and receive benefits to pay for services, and the agency never turns away anyone who does not have the ability to pay. Starting with just one residential inpatient program in 1971, the agency has expanded to cover all lower Fairfield County and now provides low- to no-barrier treatment, prevention, and harm reduction services.
- 2.As Substance Use Disorder evolves, Liberation is aware we must continue to provide new programming that is responsive to emerging trends and needs for multiple populations. This includes a new Managed Alcohol program, additions to our Outreach program, and the kickoff of the Women’s REACH program, designed to connect pregnant & parenting women to behavioral health care and other services.
- 3.Liberation’s investments in capacity are organization-wide. As overdoses have continued to persist at an extremely high rate, Liberation has invested heavily in qualified staffing to deliver lifesaving services in our programs, fortified our Finance Department to ensure maximum funding through reimbursements, and invested in a new Electronic Health Record to support the services delivered.
