The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: While CCAR does not pursue growth for its own sake, we recognize that key external factors—such as the nationwide expansion of recovery support services, the urgency of the opioid crisis, the deployment of recovery coaches in emergency departments, and other settings, and increasing awareness and federal support for peer-based services—present timely and important opportunities.
Goal Two: We are equally committed to cultivating a culture that is positive, nurturing, equitable, communicative, responsive, diverse, caring, coaching-oriented, and focused on learning and growing together. These values guide how we support one another, how we lead, and how we serve the recovery community.
Goal Three: Sustain our recovery community centers and services. Grow and elevate the peer workforce. Raise awareness of lived experience beyond traditional behavioral health channels. Solidify CCAR’s global leadership by participating in key conversations about recovery support, training, and fair compensation. Strengthen partnerships with allies in healthcare, criminal justice, education, and beyond.
