Goals

1. 1.The Career Services Program provides tiered training based on participants' needs and work experience. In FY24, 38% secured internships & 51% achieved employment, while 51% completed security or construction training, earning 92 certifications. We've seen 53% more placements than last year. The GOSO Works program will expand services and internship opportunities.
2. 2.GOSO reduces recidivism and prevents legal system involvement among NYC youth through reentry and violence prevention programming. We provide education, employment training, and emotional wellbeing services while our Cure Violence arm, SAVE, prevents gun violence and mediates conflicts in real-time. We focus on each participant's unique needs first, building a secure foundation for their success.
3. 3.GOSO operates a state-licensed Mental Health Clinic with The Child Center of NY, providing psychiatric care and traditional therapy. We also offer art therapy, horticulture, and fitness training weekly. These activities introduce cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, promoting healthier thinking and reducing criminal behavior.
