American Radio Relay League Inc.

Mission

ARRL’s mission is to promote and protect the art, science, and enjoyment of amateur radio, and to develop the next generation of radio amateurs.

Vision

ARRL, through our digital transformation, will be globally recognized by radio amateurs and the public for promoting amateur radio through our superior delivery of content, training, and licensing; protecting amateur radio through our work with regulators and industry; and investing in the future of amateur radio by inspiring and educating America’s youth in radio communications and technology.

Goals

1.Promoting Amateur Radio: ARRL provides educational resources, youth programs, and innovative technology tools to inspire new generations and enhance community engagement. Through flagship publications like QST magazine, radiosport contests, and support for emergency communication, ARRL fosters innovation, public service, and global connections.
2.Protecting Amateur Radio: Protecting ARRL protects amateur radio spectrum allocation and regulatory policies to preserve the freedom of the airwaves, while also providing legal and technical support to defend against interference and threats to the hobby. ARRL ensures the rights and interests of radio amateurs are safeguarded at all levels including locally, nationally, and internationally.
3.Inspiring and Educating Youth: ARRL is integrating amateur radio into classrooms with innovative resources, inspiring the next generation of innovators. This bridges educational gaps to boost student achievement and career paths in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and rejuvenates ARRL with new members, revenue streams, and a sustainable future for amateur radio.
