Our values govern our decision-making and inform how we operate in pursuit of our mission. We believe that: Journalism is a pillar of democracy. By reporting in the public interest, journalists equip people with the information they need to participate in the democratic process. Independence is non-negotiable. Goals

1. 1.We launched ICFJ+ to provide the critical infrastructure necessary for journalists, civil society, technologists and others to deliver actionable information. We cultivate civic intelligence – information that helps people make sense of their world and act constructively to shape it.
2. 2.We launched a new initiative, The Plus Hub to provide critical infrastructure to ensure that credible independent media we depend on do NOT disappear. The Plus Hub tackles the existential crisis faced by individual operators and small organizations working with minimal in-house resources while dealing with complex technical challenges and increasingly sophisticated digital threats.
3. 3.To connect people who use information for good, to develop systemic solutions and accelerate impact. We forge interdisciplinary, lasting networks to ensure that news and information reaches those battling on the front lines of urgent issues – from weaponized information to economic crises to extremism.
