Mission

The Boomer Esiason Foundation is a dynamic partnership of leaders in the medical and business communities joining with a committed core of volunteers to heighten awareness, education and quality of life for those affected by cystic fibrosis, while providing financial support to research aimed at finding a cure.

1.BEF’s IVF program addresses growing demand for family-building support as people with CF live longer, healthier lives. In response to rising applications and costs, BEF has increased funding and is expanding through targeted fundraising, including “Bid for a Miracle,” and partnerships with fertility clinics to broaden access, reduce costs, and ensure financial barriers do not prevent parenthood.
2.We invest in leadership development to strengthen governance, compliance, and mission impact. Our continuing education covers HR, nonprofit governance, legal structuring, regulatory monitoring, and policy communications to inform advocacy, mobilize our community, and amplify our voice. By building expertise, we protect the organization and maximize impact for the families we serve.
3.BEF advocates for policies that improve the lives of people with CF. We engage policymakers to advance research, support clinical care, accelerate drug development, and ensure affordable access to life-extending treatments. We believe all people with CF and rare diseases deserve equitable healthcare, access to innovation, and the right to defend their needs.
