Vision

Our vision is to continue refining a system of quality services and supports delivered in a respectful, inclusive environment, to foster competent, evidence-based practice, and to extend our reach to all individuals with developmental disabilities.

Goals

1. 1.The Board approved a Five Year Strategic Plan in September 2026. Goals include adding two group homes (achieved, now 7 total), expanding Day Program Services to quadruple the number of individuals currently served by 2030 (capital campaign in progress) and expanding our Behavior Support Services (additional professionals already hired and currently serving clients).
2. 2.We will continue to invest in our people, programs and facilities, having growing tremendously in recent years (7 residential group homes; 48 individuals supported; 90% staff retention rate (national average is 3providing consistency and stability for individuals served and their families.) We are actively recruiting to fill the following new positions: Director of Development, Controller.
3. 3.Our new Day Program facility will include administrative, regulatory, and compliance training capability for other individuals looking to build organizations similar to Special Friends.
