Apet Spca

Mission

APET SPCA operates a no-kill shelter for abandoned and surrendered animals. We hold adoption events and provide public education on spay & neuter and animal welfare. APET's mission is to greatly reduce populations of unwanted dogs and cats, and to reduce animal cruelty, including neglect and abandonment, through spay/neuter initiatives and education. We recognize the importance of education and public outreach to foster a sentiment of compassionate, responsible pet ownership. APET also seeks to expand it SPCA-type shelter to provide refuge and adoption options for a multitude of homeless dogs and cats.

Vision

We wish to grow our facility into a world class, cutting edge shelter that can offer a multitude of services to our community, beyond just the sheltering and adopting out of animals. We have recently added, in conjunction with our county, a spay/neuter program. Another goal we hope to achieve is providing shelter for the pets of victims of domestic violence, and to have a nursery to take in the multitudes of abandoned kittens and puppies we see in this area every spring.
