Animal Haven

Mission

Animal Haven finds homes for abandoned cats and dogs throughout the Tri-State area, and provides behavior intervention when needed to improve chances of adoption. Founded in 1967, we operate a limited admission shelter/adoption center in Manhattan. We also provide programs that enhance the bond between animals and people.

Goals

1.Provide a safe haven for vulnerable and homeless dogs and cats, with the ultimate goal of rehoming them.
2.While local, Tri-State rescue is our primary focus, keep a finger on the pulse of broader US and international needs, and assist other rescue programs by way of transport whenever possible.
3.Through our Community Engagement Program, assist local residents in crisis with keeping their pets whenever possibly by providing human and animal support services.
