Mission

The Floating Hospital, a Federally Qualified Health Center with all three urban designations under Section 330 and a licensed diagnostic and treatment center under Articles 28 and 31 of NYS Health Law, provides comprehensive, integrated healthcare and essential support services to New York City's most vulnerable populations, including families experiencing homelessness, domestic violence survivors, and residents of public housing. Through coordinated medical, dental, and behavioral health services from our Long Island City facility, along with free shelter-to-clinic transportation, health education, and provision of basic necessities, we eliminate barriers to care and empower families to achieve health, stability, and self-sufficiency.
