    The Fresh Air Fund

    Mission

    The Fresh Air Fund is a nonprofit youth development organization that provides children from New York City's underserved communities access to the transformative power of the outdoors. Since 1877, the Fund has given more than 1.8 million young people, at no cost, the chance to discover new experiences, build lasting skills, and broaden their horizons. Each summer, children attend one of six sleepaway camps in New York's Mid-Hudson Valley, where they find adventure, friendship, confidence, and new talents in the outdoors. Children also participate in school-year enrichment programs including the College Connections Program, Career Awareness Program, and Fresh Air City Explorers.
