New York Academy of Sciences

Mission

The mission of the New York Academy of Sciences is to drive innovative solutions to society's challenges by advancing scientific research, education and policy. We achieve this by: Convening and Mobilizing Communities of Experts To drive scientific progress, we host over 120 symposia annually, connecting experts across sectors, disciplines, and boundaries. Research presented at the Academy is disseminated globally via Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences. Catalyzing Collective Action to Address Global Challenges Moving from knowledge dissemination to action, we bring individuals and organizations together to drive science-based solutions to global challenges. Supporting Scientists and Engineers Through Every Step in their Careers From STEM mentoring programs for teens, to skills training for early career scientists and engineers, and prestigious prizes such as The Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists, we're working to inspire and support the next generation of STEM innovators.
