Mission

The mission of Happiness Is Camping is to provide children diagnosed with cancer or sickle cell disease with a residential camp experience. These special children and their families are invited to come to this unique camp free of charge, where they can put aside their concerns about their illness and do what kids like to do… have fun!

Vision

Our vision is a world where all children with cancer and sickle cell disease feel accepted and understood, and where they can recapture the joy of their childhoods.

Goals

1.New program types may include Resident Camp for children with sickle cell disease and bereavement camp for the families of children who have lost a child with cancer.
2.To scale our Family Camp and Resident Camp programs, increasing the number of families we serve through increased program frequency.
3.To focus our fundraising efforts through grant writing and special events in order to increase program capacity.
