Vision

Vision: More than an afterschool, summer camp, or junior tennis program, HJTEP uses tennis as a hook to engage young people on pathways to academic success, self-discipline, leadership, and lifelong wellness.

Goals

1. 1.Community Engagement & Integration: Deepening partnerships with community schools and organizations, NYCHA properties, and local businesses, to embed programming across Harlem’s social infrastructure. Intergenerational Network Activation: Formalizing Alumni and Parent Advisory groups to strengthen leadership pipelines, civic engagement, and long-term community ownership.
2. 2.Program Excellence & Data Accountability: Expanding outcome tracking, evaluation, and reporting systems to guide continuous improvement and support institutional accountability. Organizational Capacity & Leadership Development: Aligning staffing structures, professional development, and board governance with long-term growth and institutional sustainability.
3. 3.Sustainable Impact & Facility Development: Advancing capital readiness to address space constraints and ensure future growth is community-centered, financially sustainable, and operationally sound.
