Mission

Rainforest Trust saves endangered wildlife and protects our planet by creating rainforest reserves through partnerships, community engagement and donor support. We are proud to have saved more than 60 million acres of habitat across 62 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

A world where species thrive, ecosystems flourish, and the planet’s natural systems return to balance.

Goals

1.By 2030, Rainforest Trust protects sufficient habitat to make extinction from habitat loss unlikely for 250 globally threatened species.
2.By 2030, Rainforest Trust will protect or be protecting 220M acres, locking up 30B tons of CO2.
3.95% of the forests we have protected since 1988 remain intact and 99% of the Critically Endangered and Endangered species persist within Rainforest Trust protected areas.
