    Children's Brain Tumor Foundation

    Mission

Children's Brain Tumor Foundation was founded in 1988 by parents, physicians, and friends determined to find a cure and build a support community for this devastating and lonely disease. Our mission is to improve the treatment, quality of life and long-term outlook for families impacted by brain and spinal cord tumors. As founders of the Children's Brain Tumor Network, we support life-saving research in an innovative, collaborative setting. CBTF is the nation's leader in quality of life family programs throughout the brain tumor continuum. Programs are developed and evaluated based on research and professional and family input. As a result, We offer the only programs specifically for fathers and siblings, recognizing their unique needs and the fact that they are often forgotten in support programs and connection opportunities. Knowledge is critical in making decisions and advocating in hospitals, schools, and with employers. CBTF provides information in multiple settings, including our ongoing in-person and online programs.
