Comprehensive Youth Development Inc.

Mission

Comprehensive Youth Development partners with NYC public high schools to prepare young adults, ages 14-24, to secure a successful future for themselves and their families. Through this partnership, our students develop the capability to graduate from high school and make informed decisions on higher education and careers.

Vision

At CYD our mission is to empower youth to develop rewarding futures and in doing so break the cycle of poverty and inequity many have faced so that they can become leaders in their homes, schools, and communities.

Goals

1.CYD is exploring options for scaling our work by creating replication materials that capture our best practices and expanding our collaboration with CUNY on postsecondary training.
2.CYD is expanding our workforce preparation programming to meet the needs of our high school students. We are focusing on computer skills, soft skills, and financial literacy.
3.CYD has invested in expanding data capacity by integrating a new platform to improve access and reporting and has expanded staff capacity by developing new onboarding and training.
