Every year LitWorld engages Departments of Education, institutions, organizations, and individuals in every country in World Read Aloud Day activities such as - Hosts a series of live activities: Reading Crown tutorials, Book mark tutorials, interviews with staff/authors/educators/children about the importance of reading aloud.

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
LitWorld has encountered serious leadership change transitions. The Executive Director transition was a big shift for the organization, the team and the work. This presented the board and the team with multiple challenges, demands, and opportunities. Not only did we need to keep the organization moving ahead as the former leader exited, but the search and transition process for the new ED was handled skillfully. The team adapted successfully and was proactive in taking steps to make this notable time of change as smooth as possible to continue the work with our partners.
In response to the present crisis of Covid-19, our team had to adjust to new ways of working and 100% remote. We re-evaluated our
organizational and strategic plans and priorities to accommodate the partners work that is being done on the ground. We implemented summer Fridays, extra personal days, implemented fun team development activities and had more DEAI conversations with partners, staff and board members.
