Mission

Founded in 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City (BBBS of NYC) is the nation’s first and the city's largest youth mentoring organization. Our vision is that all youth achieve their full potential. Our mission is to build and support mentoring relationships to ignite the biggest possible futures for youth. BBBS of NYC is acclaimed for its high standards and effective delivery of life changing programs. We continually evaluate and improve our services to best support our mission to provide children and youth facing adversity in New York City with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with adults that change their lives for the better, forever. We partner with families, volunteers, organizations, and the community to inspire positive change in all. It is through this multi-level engagement that our programs have powerful community impact.
