The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes

Vision

A future where every person with an intellectual or developmental disability has the opportunity to live, learn, work, and thrive as an equal member of their community.

Goals

1.Advance policies that protect and expand the civil and human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families at the federal and state levels.
2.Strengthen The Arc’s national network of 600+ chapters by providing tools, data, and best practices that enhance local advocacy, inclusion, and fundraising effectiveness.
3.Increase equitable access to education, employment, and community living opportunities for people with IDD through partnerships, innovation, and public awareness campaigns.
