Mission

The mission of American Friends of ALYN Hospital (AFAH) is to enhance and grow our platform to serve the challenge of raising funds for the hospital, while concurrently raising visibility for ALYN as a premier global institution for pediatric rehabilitation, improving the lives of children with disabilities worldwide through innovation and best-in-class treatments. American Friends of ALYN Hospital has proudly supported the hospital since 1932. ALYN is Israel's premier rehabilitation center, providing rehabilitation to children and adolescents with physical disabilities, both congenital and acquired. Since its humble beginnings as a polio clinic, the overriding mission of ALYN has been to help each child reach the highest possible levels of mobility and independence.

Vision

One of our challenges is how we engage a younger generation to support ALYN. Our donor base tends to be older and we know that we need to find a way to appeal to a younger crowd. Therefore, it is our vision to create programming to build future supporters of ALYN Hospital (for example through our STEM program - explained in the Leadership section) and to build a Young Leadership Committee to serve with our Board of Directors.

2.Increase the visibility of ALYN's work, especially within communities where we already have a base.
3.Build the base for next generation engagement (see above at Vision section).
