Adaptive Sports Foundation

Mission

The Adaptive Sports Foundation's (ASF) mission is to empower lives through adaptive sports. ASF provides profound and life changing experiences for children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities and chronic illnesses through outdoor physical activity, education, support and community. ASF students are five years of age and older and live with disabilities ranging from relatively mild learning disabilities to more severe disabilities such as paralysis, autism, amputation, cerebral palsy and traumatic brain injury. Founded in 1984, the Foundation's work promotes physical activity for children and adults with disabilities by offering winter programs, a summer program, and competition programs.

1.We would like to continue to provide life-changing experiences through outdoor activity to people with cognitive and physical disabilities and to expand our programs and reach.
2.We want to continue to build upon our programs. We were once just a ski and snowboarding program, but now we have our summer programs that include camps and our Warriors in Motion events.
3.We have added new positions such as a Social Media and Fundraising Coordinator and an Associate Development Director to focus on marketing and donations. We will continue to adapt into the future.
