Vision

Quality end of life care and honoring the choices of those at the end of life has not been a priority in the United States and that needs to change. The people in our communities need to be heard, especially those who are underserved, they need to be listened to and provided with information and education, so that their end of life wishes can be honored should they not be able to speak for themselves. They need to be cared for and supported with dignity and respect so that all people, regardless of their insurance and/or financial status, can receive quality end of life care that embraces and supports the person and their loved ones, their culture and beliefs at a critical time in their journey.

Goals

1. 1.To raise awareness and encourage the use of hospice in end of life care through community engagement and demystifying the word hospice so that the benefits are known and utilization continues to rise.
2. 2.Complete the Hospice House Capital Campaign and continue to raise funds, so that all people, regardless of their insurance and/or financial status can receive quality end of life care.
3. 3.To encourage, engage and educate the community about the importance of advance care planning, particularly the underserved, so that their end of life choices are honored.
