Vision

The Rescue Mission aspires to: 1. create enough affordable housing opportunities that will provide permanent shelter to those who are housing vulnerable to eliminate the need for emergency shelter beds; 2. provide case management to offer support to those who struggle with maintaining permanent housing so that people are successful in their housing; 3. provide food and clothing to those without so that no one is hungry or without basic needs in its programs.

Goals

1. 1.Effectively helping those needing emergency services have become more complex - lack of affordable housing, increased mental health and substance use disorders among the clientele, food insecurity and limited financial resources to meet basic needs. The Rescue Mission continues to evaluate programming, tweaking services as needed to ensure they are effective and impactful to meet client needs.
2. 2.The Rescue Mission has a goal to create 150 permanent housing units before its 150th anniversary. This will provide permanent supportive housing opportunities for those housing vulnerable individuals who enter into the shelter system but struggle to find housing that meets their unique needs.
3. 3.The Rescue Mission will continue to decrease its reliance on government grants to operate programs, seek donor and philanthropic support and grow its social enterprise operation to improve its financial health.
