Vision

Healthy lifestyle make healthy communities. And everything we do is for the children whose families lack insurance or the means to provide that care themselves. We've been doing this for 55 years, over several generations, and the results have been clear. Our goal is to continue as long as necessary to help these kids be healthy and productive and to help build strong communities.

Goals

1. 1.There are an estimated 50,000 children below age 18 in and around San Miguel de Allende who can't afford regular dental, medical or psychological care and others with life-threatening illnesses, injuries or genetic defects who likely would die absent our work. We currently are able to served about 15,000 children a year.
2. 2.When surveying the small communities surrounding San Miguel, we find there is a growing need for psychological care due to poverty, many men having gone to the US for work, and an increase in alcohol and drug use. As a result, we have piloted psychological workshops for elementary and middle-school children -- an age where statistics show a sharp rise in suicide -the - and families.
3. 3.The more medical, dental psychological care we can provides, as well as care for children with special or chronic needs, the better for the children, their families and the larger San Miguel community.
