Animal Rescue of the Rockies

Mission

Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and encourage quality relationships between pets and their people through behavior resources and training.

Vision

Working towards the day when every pet has a loving home! We are actively working to increase adoptions and spay/neuter surgeries to prevent pet overpopulation and enable our country to reach a no-kill status within the next 10 years.

Goals

1.We have started new community cat programs aimed at reducing the number of cats living outdoors in terrible conditions. Our TNR programs spay or neuter each cat, vaccinated them for immunity, treat for any minor illnesses, and return adults to their colonies. Kittens or abandoned pets who are friendly are placed into foster homes for adoption.
2.We are increasing our capacity to bring in more dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters to reduce euthanasia rates due to lack of space at these shelters. Our goal is to find more foster homes and volunteers to enable us to save more lives every year.
3.We are actively fundraising with our Livesavers League monthly donation program , grant submittals, one-time donation requests for medical emergencies, social media fundraising, and events. Our goal is to increase our financial base to enable us to earn interest on investments for long-term goals. We have been operating for 21 years (since 2003) and plan to continue our operations indefinitely.
