Art of Problem Solving Initiative, Inc.

Mission

Founded in 2004, the Art of Problem Solving Initiative, Inc. was created by people who love math and love teaching to help students access the study of advanced mathematics. The main project of the Initiative is Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM), a project to help underserved students find a realistic pathway towards becoming scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and programmers. BEAM reaches students beginning in 6th grade and provides 10 years of comprehensive support through college, teaching kids advanced math and STEM, providing social/emotional support, helping kids access STEM opportunities, providing individualized advising to find strong high schools, good-fit colleges, financial aid, internships, and jobs.
