Vision

CASA of Ellis County is dedicated to improving the lives of abused and neglected children in our County. CASA recruits, trains and supervises volunteers who are selected to act as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to be a voice for the child in court. These Volunteer provide educational, developmental, physical, psychological and social advocacy to determine any services needed while in foster care, then ultimately recommend the best permanency outcome; be it back home with parents who have alleviated safety concerns, with relatives, or a non-relative adoption.

Goals

1. 1.Serve 100% of the children in foster care in Ellis County with a CASA Volunteer Advocate. Achieved through assessment of volunteers available/assigned and the need for initial training to ensure our program can meet growing numbers of children removed from their homes by CPS.
2. 2.Deliberate Outreach, Recruitment and Retention of Volunteer Advocates. This is achieved by targeted recruitment strategies to reflect the needs of our program, reaching to outlying, smaller cities to ensure brand saturation, and retention through paid conference attendance, case closing acknowledgement, annual appreciation dinner and swearing in anniversary recognition.
3. 3.Assess existing funding opportunities, and identify and promote new funding opportunities. This is achieved through a promotion of endowments, donor advised funding, estate planning, bequests, and annual campaigns.
